The National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) and
May Farms are teaming up for a New Energy Festival.
May Farms announced that the "Colorado New Energy Festival"
originally planned for this June will be rescheduled for June of 2009.
The decision to reschedule the event was made in full agreement and
concurrence with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), in
Golden Colorado, May Farms' partner on this event.
The decision to postpone this event was based upon:
- The challenges of raising sufficient sponsorship support during this
presidential campaign year, particularly given the major commitments
being made to support the DNC being hosted in Denver, August 2008.
- The downturn in the economy overall and
- Having insufficient time to build the necessary infrastructure to
present May Farms as a renewable energy demonstration site.
So while we are disappointed that it will not take place this year, we
now have a huge lead on realizing a truly extraordinary event for next
year.
